LAKE GREENBELT--Sept 12, 2002
Darren Mooneyham used one His company's
new lures ( an albino MAD shad) to take the honors and $370
at the Sept. 12th Fun Fishing Tournament at Lake Greenbelt.
Darren fished the outside edge of two grass
beds and his three-bass limit weighed 5.78 lbs. So far this
year, We have had 19 tournaments and NO repeat winners.
Going to Lake Baylor on Saturday morning, Sept 21, and
everyone is invited.
Second was worth $148 and CHESTER HALES fished from the
shore with his OUGGIE brand "HawgCaller" buzzbait and
weighed two bass @ 5.78 lbs. Chester lost a huge bass in the
moss that would have doubled his weight. Who says you need a
boat to go bass fishing?....
Third place and $74 went to Pampa's great
angler GARY CARTER who used a Dick's Pro-Style Popper to
bring in two chucks @ 3.89 lbs.
Other anglers in the top ten included J. T.
Hodges (winner from last month) with two bass at 3.49 lbs on
a white fluke.
RORY (Mr. Pennzoil) BOOTH used a buzzbait
and weighed in at 3.34 lbs. Sixth place was Darren's Dad,
ROYCE MOONEYHAM with 3.24 lbs. on a spinnerbait. 7th Place
was JIMMY PATTERSON of Amarillo with 3.14 lbs on a Fluke in
the moss.
8th Place was DONNIE DAVIS who put it on his
dad, Lynn--with a popper bait at 2.77 lbs.
9th place was CORY HALES of Claude with 2.20
lb bass that hit an OUGGIE buzzbait.
10th place worth $37 went to Canadian's
RONNIE HILL who used a pumpkin Senko for his 1.96 lb. keeper
bass.
$25 Gebo's Gift certificate went to (I think) Donnie Davis,
while JIM SIMPSON won dinner for two at the OUTFITTER's , 4
miles north of the the lake.
The $50 Luck of the Draw went to 4 year old
Easton Neese who was fishing with his dad Josh, and a very
proud Grand dad Johnny Littlejohn. If you couldn't win, I am
glad one of the youngster did.
See you at Baylor, Saturday morning, Sept 21
Ute Lake in New Mexico , Saturday morning,
