LAKE ALAN HENRY--new all time 3- bass limit record broken 3 times
LAKE ALAN HENRY OFFERS SOME GREAT BASS FISHING Three anglers at the April 18 Fun Tournament broke the 15 year/250 tournament all time record. First place and $790 went to T.J. TAYLOR of Lubbock with three bass that weighed 24.87 lbs. He used a chartreuse hand poured 5 inch waterdog and won $790. Way to go, TJ

Second place and $395 went to JERRY GREEN of Coahoma with three bass at 23.59 lbs.  Jerry used a pink/orange senko and a MADman Tube craw in shallow water.  JOE PEIRCE of Canyon may have broken the all time Fun Tournament record for three bass, but on that day at Alan Henry --he finished in third place with 19.24 lbs.  Lake Alan Henry may be the best bass lake in Texas and thanks to the top 5 anglers who returned their bass back to the place where they were caught, the fishing is going to stay great for many years to come. The bass on the beds, but they seem to come in waves. Get those poloroid glasses and please Catch-and-RELEASE those big bass.

Other anglers in the top ten included JOHN BASINGER of Slaton with 15.82 lbs., GILBERT RAMOS of Shallowater with 13.20 lbs., TONY HUTCHESON of Lubbock with 12.77 lbs., RAY SMITH of Amarillo with 12.57 lbs., MICHAEL McCONNELL of Lubbock with 11.50 lbs., MAX PEARSON of Amarillo with 10.63 lbs., and 10th place went to CORY HALES of Claude with 8.83 lbs. The bass fishing at Henry is great, the bass are shallow, and the GEBO's Big Bass Bonanza on May 3 and/or 4 at Lake Henry should be fun. A special thanks to GEBO's for putting up $1,000 in bonus money for the angler who catches the biggest bass of both days. With www.mexicanAdventures.com donating a fishing trip to Lake Huites and all our other sponsors -- this tournament has OVER $4,500 in bonus cash and prizes make this tournament well over 100% payback.
