Gutierrez "TOPS" the field for his fourth Fun
Fishing Victory
Amarillo's
Joseph Gutierez notched his fourth Fun Fishing
victory (and second in the past 10 days) when he
used a red/white chugger to catch a terrific 7.25
lb. largemouth bass from the murky waters of Lake
Meredith. His $25 entry fee earned him $350 to go
with the $480 from last weeks win at Greenbelt. WAY
TO GO, Joseph.
Second place and $140 went to David
McPherson of Plainview for his nice black bass that
weighed 4.96 lbs., and was caught on a Madman
tubeCraw.
Third place went to RICHARD BEILUE of Dumas with a
three-bass limit of keeper bass that weighed 4.70
lbs. Beilue used a green tube bait and worked the
main lake cuts. Fourth place went to Kris Bosley of
Canyon with a nice bass that weighed 4.26 lbs.
Summer and the high temps have locked the bass into
a summer pattern. Some fish will hit a fast moving
topwater bait like a buzzbait, while other bass
prefer a "laying there" chugger style lure.
